Waves was released on October 7, 2017. This book is a collection of poetry regarding Ritu's life for the past 25 years; themes include abuse, trauma, oppression, misogyny, feminism and healing. Although it's a collection of poetry, this book is put together in order of chronological events to tell a story. Ritu incorporated the poetry and prose she wrote while growing up into this collection. With 310 pieces published in this poetry book, Waves has made its way across the globe since its release, with readers from the US, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, India, Britain, and parts of Europe. Regardless of the highs and lows, the waves of life are necessary for growth. It's a reminder that the waves can push us, pull us, drown us, and seem endless- but it is up to us to learn to row, sail, swim, and find the shore no matter how tough the sea of life can be.
